The Associate Director, Marketing Oncology Biosimilars, is a member of the oncology franchise team. This person is responsible for marketing activities which will maximize net sales and market share of our Oncology biosimilars. S/he will also contribute to the development and execution of the overall US brand plan with specific responsibilities for contributing to the development of the annual marketing plan/tactics and leading execution. Focus will be on enhancing segment strategy, identifying opportunities across the portfolio and leading the cross-functional team to maximize the net sales opportunity.

The Associate Director, Marketing reports to the Executive Director, Neurology and Oncology Biosimilars. The scope of responsibilities for the Associate Director, Marketing will be strategic and operational in nature.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Lead customer segment strategy development to ensure both short-term and long-term value to Sandoz and to external stakeholders.
• Partner cross functionally with Market Access, Government Pricing, Finance, Sales, Account Management, Insights and Analytics and other teams, to develop and execute synergistic strategies to maximize opportunities for the Oncology biosimilar portfolio
• Contribute to the development and execution of the Oncology biosimilar brand strategy, annual marketing and tactical plans
• Contribute to the development and execution of a US business & brand plan(s) to maximize the success of Oncology biosimilar portfolio into the various therapeutic areas and indications
• Collaborate with Brand team and Cross-Functional team to build and maintain solid relationships with key external customers such as thought leaders, provider organizations, and other key external customers and stakeholders
• Anticipate impact of environmental factors on key customer segments (legislative, economic, clinical, advocacy) to develop proactive tools and resources addressing customer needs
• Active member of the cross-functional US/Global launch management teams to support the adaptation of Global strategies to the US market to maximize the launch performance
• Support Brand team with analytics, program metrics and presentations to senior management
• Ensure adherence and compliance to all Sandoz and Novartis policies and procedures

This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require up to 25% of travel and some weekends as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $158,400 and $237,600 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/22 through 12/31/22, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or health-related field is required, Advanced degree (MBA, MD, PharmD, etc.) is a plus

Experience:
• A minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and/or consulting experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (typically project/engagement manager level) is required, with a track record of steep career progression
• A minimum of 5 years previous marketing experience desired with experience within biologics and/or biosimilar market
• Proven experience and success demonstrating strategic thinking, collaborative mindset, “can do” attitude and demonstrating superior abilities for the tactical plan execution
• Understanding of the US health care markets and key stakeholders including payers, GPOs, hospitals, clinics and specialty pharmacies, and the interconnectivity between these stakeholder
• Strong understanding of the economics associated with medical and pharmacy benefits and the impacts segment specific strategies have on net sales
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex insights, as well as to connect commercial, financial, and clinical perspectives to develop strategies to maximize short-term and long-term brand opportunities
