As a Senior Asset Management Specialist – Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Real Estate, Procurement, and the business. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on fixed asset and lease accounting in line with accounting standards and policies.
  • Manage the full asset and lease lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, modifications, and disposals.
  • Execute month-end and year-end close activities with accurate reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Assess complex transactions and deliver accounting analysis to support business and financial decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on capital investments and lease-related accounting implications.
  • Ensure compliance through robust controls, balance sheet substantiation, and adherence to accounting requirements.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation activities to enhance efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in fixed asset and lease accounting within a complex international environment, knowledge of IFRS16
  • Strong knowledge of lease accounting, asset capitalization, depreciation, impairment, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Experience supporting audits, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, process automation, or digitalization initiatives within a global organization.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 

  • Kč808,381.00 - Kč1,501,279.00

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.  

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
