 Access to healthcare and levels of patient care vary greatly across the country and within our healthcare system. Novartis and the Novartis US Foundation took a major step forward to help improve quality healthcare for all by launching Beacon of Hope, an innovative ten-year initiative providing health and educational opportunities in collaboration with 26 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including four Historically Black Medical Schools, plus Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Since its inception, Novartis and the Novartis US Foundation have also been proud to welcome non-profit and industry partners to Beacon of Hope.

## **Solutions for Improving Access to Healthcare**

The goal of the Beacon of Hope initiative is to co-create effective, measurable solutions for reducing barriers to healthcare access, focusing in three key areas:
