Summary

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid - Office) Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you. We are looking for a Delivery Excellence responsible for providing support for end-to-end project delivery and operations in a specific sub-domain or capability. Lead and oversee program/project teams, ensuring progress, quality, and budget control. This person also serve as the team lead for internal project managers and work towards establishing and improving best practices and delivery excellence. This role includes leading cross-functional teams in executing complex DDIT programs, aligning strategies with the critical program's scope, and driving measurable results in line with business standards. Ensure optimal planning and execution of all program/project activities and provide monthly reporting on the Project/Demand Technical Research Development Portfolio. Additionally, the person will work with the Innovation team to facilitate the monthly IT & Innovation Steer Committee slide deck.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Define and execute technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms, and processes for responsible business domain/function(s).
  • Ensure on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio for responsible Business domain / functions.
  • Ensure services, solutions, platforms, products are fit for purpose and achieve the desired business value and impact.
  • Establish governance structure for projects, operations, etc. with right stakeholder representation for responsible Domain / functions.
  • Track, report, and deliver against agreed success factors and KPIs for various stakeholders for responsible Domain / functions. 
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and    procedures within the Service Delivery scope.
  • Ensure program goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Manage all major program activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and deployment standards. 
  • Manage development of program plans, specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources to accomplish the desired business outcomes, aligned with time and budget commitments. Participate in annual budget exercise to ensure planning for critical operational necessity projects is recorded and implemented.

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business or similar 
  • Project Methodologies (Agile - Scrum training) 
  • Industry/ Business Exposure, Strategy Development, Program Management, People Leadership, Interactions with senior management, 
  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with key regional stakeholders, Well-developed record of successful relationship management, 
  • Functional Breadth, Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment, Major Change, Collaborating across boundaries, People Leadership, Accountability, Relationship Management 
  • English.
