About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute sophisticated cell-based assays and biology experiments that inform drug discovery and/or an in-depth understanding of a small molecule’s mechanism of action.
Troubleshoot various cell-based assays in low and high content modalities, multi-well formats (96w, 384w) and perform data analysis on small to medium scale datasets using standard analysis tools.
Work in a manner that is independent in thought, results-driven, flexible and able to multi-task.
Interact with people of varying scientific backgrounds, approaches and skill sets in a matrixed work environment, so the applicant must be a strong, proactive communicator with excellent team skills and a collaborative spirit.
Perform lab work and data analysis reporting excellence are musts.
Work with automation / liquid handling platforms in cancer biology
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $92,800 and $153,600 / year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Essential Requirements:
This position is located at the Cambridge, MA site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will not require travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).
BS/MS Degree in a biology, biochemistry and/or related field
5+ years of Biology/Biochemistry bench work experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and present data in a clear manner and use data to generate new hypotheses
Hands-on experience with cellular assay development & execution
Highly self-motivated, collaborative team worker with exceptional organizational skills and curiosity to expand and diversify skillsets
Desirable Requirements:
Industry experience strongly preferred
Experience in oncology
Familiarity with software (particularly Spotfire, Graphpad Prism, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Familiarity with dose response curve fitting software programs
Hands-on experience with automation and cell imaging equipment
