Network Performance and Automation Engineer Location: Prague, Czechia About the Role: The Network Performance and Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to ensure efficient network operations. The role involves working closely with network engineers and other IT professionals to automate network processes, reducing manual efforts and improving network reliability and performance.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Implementing network automation solutions to streamline network operations, configuration management, and monitoring processes.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts, programs, and tools for network automation using languages such as Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to improve network performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network automation issues, ensuring the smooth operation of network services.
  • Conducting regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with network automation best practices, security standards, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborating with network architects to design and implement network automation strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in network automation, Cisco certification programs, and programming languages

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Cisco Certified DevNet Associate (DevNet Associate)/CCNP/CCNA/JNCIA
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, network automation or a related field
  • Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Programming skills in Python
  • Proficiency in network automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network automation issues.
  • Continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral
