Analytical Science and Technology responsibility for Micro related methods (e.g. bioburden, sterility, bacterial endotoxin,..) and implementation of new technologies.

About the Role

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management and oversight of all analytical activities related to microbiological testing as e.g. Bioburden, Sterility and Bacterial endotoxin testings.
  • Life-cycle management of analytical methods, including control of method performance, analytical method improvements, pharmacopoeia and health authority compliance (subject matter expert in health authority inspections)
  • Single point of contact for internal and external clients and contract laboratories, if applicable.
  • Ensure timely analytical implementation for microbiological, sterility, endotoxin detection methods (Method Transfer and Method Validation) for new projects
  • Planning and coordination of Low Endotoxin Recovery Studies
  • Implementation of new state of the art technologies and automatization systems
  • Scientific analytical support for quality control, production, registration and marketing and Handling of investigation related to deviations, OOS/OOE and complaints
  • Budget planning and budget tracking

Requirements:

  • PhD or a Master degree with natural science/biological/technical background (e.g. biology, chemistry, pharmacy) or equivalent education
  • Several years of experience in pharmaceutical industry and/or analytical laboratory in GMP environment desirable
  • Fundamental knowledge in biology/microbiology and aseptic manufacturing process
  • Fluent in English, German optional
  • Good communication skills and team player
  • Independent working style and curiosity to learn more about commercial project management on analytical topics

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €64.023,61 /year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary may be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
