About the Role

As a Record to Report Manager RLT – LDC (temporary), you will play a key leadership role within the Record-to-Report (R2R) organization, overseeing accounting and reporting activities for U.S. entities while partnering closely with business stakeholders and the Novartis Operations Center in Mexico.
This temporary role combines technical accounting expertise, financial reporting leadership, systems knowledge, and stakeholder management to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong compliance, and continuous process improvement across the organization.
About the Role
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP and key financial reporting platforms, including FCRS, IBI, BPC, and related reporting tools
- Lead month-end close and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, disclosures, and management reporting
- Apply International Accounting Standards (IAS), IFRS principles, and Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM) guidance to complex accounting and operational matters
- Review account analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, and Balance Sheet Review (BSR) packages to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information
- Oversee accounting and reporting activities related to royalty revenue streams and third-party agreements
- Partner with divisional stakeholders, NOCC teams, Group FRA, and external auditors to address accounting and reporting matters and support audit requirements
- Drive service delivery excellence by achieving SLA and KPI commitments while identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), Audit, or related finance functions
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, financial reporting requirements, accounting controls, and financial statement preparation
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP and financial reporting platforms such as FCRS, BPC, or similar technologies
- Fluent English communication skills with strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Desirable Requirements
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification, as well as experience leading finance transformation or ERP implementation projects
