About the Role
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Design, implement and maintain LAN and WAN networks.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other networking equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
• Perform network monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to network infrastructure and operations.
• Participate in network security initiatives and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices related to networking.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Required Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCIE or equivalent level from other vendors.
Continuous Learning:
Commitment to ongoing professional development through courses, workshops, and seminars to stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards.
EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of experience in Designing and Implementing Next-Gen Wireless Networks.
- Previous experience of working as a SME/Lead Engineer for Cisco Wireless
- Familiarity with RF planning and capabilities of performing site surveys using one or more tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet etc.)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in creating architecture documents (HLD/LLD/Work Instructions)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Working experience with wide range of Cisco & Meraki Wireless Product Family.
- Experience with Cisco AireOS & Catalyst Controllers
- Network management platforms like Cisco Catalyst center (D-NAC) and ISE.
- Ability to act as a SME for Wireless domain and lead key projects and initiatives.
- Experience operating high-density AP and client deployments.
- Ability to perform passive and active wireless site surveys (e.g. Using Ekahau)
LANGUAGES
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (optional)
- Prior experience of working in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure automation using Python,Ansible and Restful API is a plus.
