Role Title: Assoc. Dir. DDIT Dev. Solution Delivery

Location: Hyderabad

Strategy & Growth’s role is to bring an enterprise-wide, unified view of Novartis’ strategy across the RDC continuum and guide the companies’ planning and execution. Imagine the IT partnership opportunities you could bring!

Data Analyst

• Engage with various user communities in S&G space to identify high priority Business requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts to transform business requirements into technical specifications, capturing data need, data source, data transformations, data compliance and data access.
• Highlight/identify gaps in data sources and drive requirements review with collaborators.
• Analyse data and propose solutions to meet the technical specifications.
• Provide Solution design and technical specifications, and delegate responsibilities to data modelers, developers, and testers for development of the product/solution.
• Accountable for the overall delivery of product/solution and related work.
• Ensure implemented solutions are according to specifications and fit for purpose.
• Align on priority and release with project manager and product owner.
• Ensure consistency and traceability between business requirements, data requirements, solution design, data model, data catalog, test cases, test execution and test results. 
• Work with operations team to resolve any data related issues. Follow up to provide root cause analysis, risk remediation and learning.
• Support definition, implementation and tracking of effectiveness of standard processes.
• Ability to understand and connect with many different collaborators, e.g., those in business, IT and quality.
• A solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language). .
• Knowledge of / exposure to Drug Research, Development or Commercialization portfolios would be an advantage

Data Architect

• Liaise with business team members, other IT teams to understand the key dependencies and bottle necks in catering to business needs.
• Develop and depict (Preferably in ADOIT or any equivalent tool like draw.io, Miro etc.,) a clear end to end data flow(s) diagrams and system data landscape diagrams to ensure the specifications strategically fit in the big picture view.
• Guide, support, and review the work of all data analysts in the team.
• Review the logical and physical data model developed by Data modeler.
• Ensure that relevant partners are involved and aligned in induction of new data sources, building data pipelines and/or major upgrades to existing ones.
• Present and align on new solution designs in architecture board.
• Keep inventory of data assets and access.
• Keep abreast with internal IT systems and documentation requirements, standards (including quality management and IT security), regulatory environments / requirements (if applicable), DDIT Service Portfolio and with industry standard processes in demonstrating technologies for the business and taking advantage of reusable products, solutions, and services wherever applicable. Additional specification required for testing.
• Help drive evaluation of new tools, performing PoC’s and fulfilling complex data needs.

Education:

• University degree or equivalent experience in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or similar

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in working in the Pharma or IT Industry
• A minimum of 6+ years of experience working in SQL, data mining, data cleansing, reporting and few analytics tools is a must and conversant with data architecture principles is an advantage.
• Expert understanding of Data modelling & data pipeline design and system architecture concepts.
• Experience as a Developer/architect in a data and analytics Platforms is an added advantage.
• Ability to understand and provide feasible technical solutions for sophisticated data requirements.
• Proficient skills in global teams, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, working in a matrix environment and conflict resolution.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies an advantage.
• Exposure/working experience in digital innovation projects is an added advantage.
• Data Strategy, Data science or data standardization experience is an advantage.
