About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead post production of captivating and emotionally resonant videos.
- Serve as primary editor for high-profile video content across Corporate Affairs.
- Work with writers, directors, freelancers, and business partners to bring to life visionary storytelling projects and campaigns to reach diverse, global audiences.
- Empower the creative community across Novartis by way of building lasting partnerships with top-notch external production houses and freelance editors.
- Manage in-house editing suite and data. Store, organize, and archive all project data.
- Continually grow our network of external production support by way of building relationships with, hiring, and managing expert colorists, motion graphics artists, and other post production support.
- Assist on and act as DIT (Digital Imaging Technicial) on video productions across the globe in a variety of environments; from rural locations with minimal infrastructure to the biggest urban centers on the planet.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, creative team members, and external vendors, to execute projects successfully.
- Support the integration of AI-driven techniques and solutions to optimize concepting, and pre and post production production materials.
- Continually seek to make video storytelling across the Corporate Affairs function more cost-effective, engaging, and effective at supporting underlying business goals.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive years of freelance or agency experience and/or extensive portfolio of high-end commercial, documentary or feature editing work (more important than years of experience).
- Academic achievements are a plus. Greater value will be placed on skill, breadth and depth of portfolio, creative achievements in video editing, documentary storytelling, and experience that demonstrates creative prowess.
- Expert video editor and extensive knowledge of complex post production workflows, with an appetite to take duties beyond those outlined in the job description in order to fill gaps on production.
- Ability to travel with productions all around the globe; USA, Colombia, Japan, Cameroon, Slovenia, etc. and willingness to work long/irregular hours when necessary for production (travel, weekends, sunrise, sunset, etc)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, good team player; committed to high-quality output and positive atmosphere
- Willingness to live in Switzerland
Desirable Requirements:
- Skills as colorist, imaging tech, or retoucher are a big plus
- Ability to produce motion graphics is a big plus
