- -Explore, develop, implement and evaluate Digital innovation solutions that address customer needs. Co-create with key stakeholders to build partnerships and collaborations -Leads the delivery of multiple projects across a variety of creative and marketing channels, including print and digital media. Develop and coordinate project plans across the design, development and production stages of a project to support the successful delivery within set KPI's. -Works in collaboration with brand teams, technical teams and all functions to maximize value. -Provides consultancy, advice and assistance on strategy for commercialization of products, and influence marketing/Marketing Sales Operation team on decision making on Sales Force resource allocation in most optimal ways, through delivery of proven analytics based projects. -Provide analytics support to Novartis internal customers

About the Role:

The manager at Social Media Listening will spearhead our social listening initiatives, providing critical insights to various internal stakeholders across the organization. This role is vital in enhancing our understanding of market dynamics, patient needs, and competitive activities, thereby informing strategic decisions. Provide social media listening support to Novartis internal customers (CPOs & Regional marketing and sales teams) on various medium-high complexity analytical reports. Support and facilitate data enabled decision making for Novartis internal customers by providing and communicating qualitative and quantitative analytics. Support SML team in building practice by involving in various initiatives like knowledge sharing, onboarding and training support, support team lead in all business-related tasks / activities, building process documentation and knowledge repositories

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social media analysts, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure consistent and reliable analysis and delivery of relevant outcomes • Monitor social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) for mentions of Novartis, industry trends, competitor activities, and other relevant topics for use cases such as, NVS performance report,  Disease area landscape reports, Brand performance/launch tracker, Audience insights, Competitor landscape, Influencer analysis report, Campaign performance reports, Others ad-hoc requests
  • Utilize advanced social media listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Pulsar, etc.) to analyze data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing social media insights, key trends, and strategic recommendations for various internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, regulatory affairs, and executive leadership
  •  Identify opportunities for engagement and recommend strategies to improve brand presence and reputation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media insights into broader business strategies. Manage relationships with internal colleagues to ensure the alignment of social media listening initiatives with business goals
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the optimization of social media listening tools and technologies. Track and report on the effectiveness of social media efforts, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and maintain knowledge repositories that captures qualitative and quantitative reports of brands, disease areas, macroeconomic trends of Novartis operating markets, etc. Respond swiftly to potential social media crises by identifying, analyzing, and escalating issues to appropriate parties
  • Drive team goals through enabling business development by navigating through the changing business needs and adapt capability to the same. Deliver services through end-to-end structured project management approach with appropriate documentation and communication throughout the delivery of services, Requirement gathering, Solutioning SML, Defining approach, Create project plan & define RACIs, Story boarding, De-briefing, Continuous feedback & review mechanism
  •  Support in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists that will enable excellent quality outputs for all outputs within the function. Guide and mentor junior team members, providing training and support in social media analytics and reporting. Support team leaders in recruitment and on-boarding of new associates within the organization

Essential Requirements:

  • MBA with Graduate / Postgraduate in Medicine (MD/MBBS/BDS) Pharmacy / Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience (8+ years) in social media listening and analytics in a market research firm or pharmaceutical company or Pharma KPO
  • Should understand pharmaceutical business including its regulatory environment Strong analytical thinking with problem solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
