-Entry-level sales representatives responsible for key sales coordination activities. Responsible (directly or indirectly) for achieving sales targets for a specific small account, product or a given territory in an Oncology specialty area. Supervision and support readily available from next line manager. Acquires and brings specialist knowledge in the required therapeutic area.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Accountable for achieving agreed sales, productivity and performance targets within agreed budgets and timescales -Execute the Business Plans made to meet sales target -Ensure effective calls to doctors and chemist as per targets.
  • Communicate medical information to pharmacies and hospitals in a responsible manner.
  • Increase product placement and prescription of our products at dispensing pharmacies, GPs and hospitals -Develop effective business relationships with customers (physicians, treating staff, and other stakeholders) that support delivery of business results -Initiate or support customer centric programs as part of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Expand sales by establishing and maintaining close relationships with key customers in the area of responsibility -Assist development of local networks with General Practitioners, specialist doctors, pharmacists, etc. -Help Medical Representatives to grow their business and/or status in the community; work closely with them and support them.
  • Constantly develop own expertise in competitive and clinical selling.
  • Uses functional knowledge of Novartis, the healthcare and pharmaceutical marketplace, and customer markets to meet/exceed customer needs.
  • Promotes Novartis as a leader in the pharmaceutical area -Report accurately as per requirement -Follow all adverse events guidelines, and Code of Conduct Guidelines as promoted by Novartis.
  • Demonstrate Behavior in accordance with Novartis code of practice.
  • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

Key performance indicators:

  • Achievement of sales revenue and market share targets vs plan - Responsible for budget allocated to cover customer activities - Customer Satisfaction and Customer relationship building - Maintenance of Key Accounts - Timely delivery of all reporting, training and compliance requirements
