--Lead the design, deployment and delivery of large, complex, strategic IT Operations consolidation initiative - including the delivery of new IT operating model, supplier consolidation and stable delivery
-Direct program/project teams and maintain control of progress, quality and budget
-Ensure a smooth transition to new operating model and execution of all activities associated with the initiative

About the Role

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to execute large, complex IT operations consolidation initiative including Infrastructure, Network, Workplace, Applications, Security and End user services
  • Lead and oversee the transition and stabilization of integrated application, infrastructure, and security operations into a new model to be designed as a part of the initial phase of the program.
  • Understand the business direction, align strategy to the scope of the critical IT programs, and drive measurable expected results aligned with company processes and solution standards
  • Monitor all major program activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and deployment standards
  • Lead the project team members and provide thought leadership aligned with expected results and consistency of implementation approach and collaborate effectively with all IT organizations providing services to the program
  • Own project status, issues and risks through appropriate channels / tools and ensures that these are reported back to agreed program governance (e.g. Steering Committee) with a focus on required actions, ownership and risk management
  • Oversee a large pool of DDIT project managers, delivery managers and operational managers and responsible for coaching and development, as well as use of project management standards and best practices

  • Delivery of program results according to agreed quality, schedules and cost whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for consolidating application, infrastructure, and security operations.
  • Adherence to defined management and delivery processes for IT programs and IT Operations
  • Successful transition of processes, services and implementation of technology deployments in line with program expectations
  • Adherence to defined management and delivery processes for DDIT programs and other policies relevant to the program scope (e.g. HW/SW standards, CSV, Information Security and Risk Management)
  • Benefits delivered by program ($, risk mitigation, technology innovation, automation) 

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment and be able to manage both a program structure and a future operational structure.
  • 10+ years Experience in leading large scale IT operations spanning multiple technologies
  • Deep experience in IT compliance and Risk management activities - GXP, SOX, Audits etc in a Pharma context
  • Experience with driving transformation and bigger change in the organization
  • People Leadership skills
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Learning agility, continuous improvement mindset and attention to details
  • Negotiation skills 
  • Ability to convert abstracts into executable outcomes
  • Deep understanding of IT operations and KPIs 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
