Summary
As an International Trade Team Lead you will be responsible for providing general support in relation to customs and international trade related matters. Focusing on denied party screening as part of embargo and sanction due diligence process and customs classification. In addition, country of origin review and determination are in scope, as well as KPI measures and reporting on behalf of Global Customs and Trade Compliance team. Act in in accordance with legislation, internal rules, good practices and business objectives.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance of all the legal entities of Novartis with applicable import and export laws in Slovenia;
• Design and implement the leadership structure for the Customs & Foreign Trade function with clear competencies and responsibilities, aligned with the Group Head;
• Assess and implement various CTC policies and standards created in accordance with the global Sandoz guidelines and, if necessary, country-specific regulations;
• Manage uniform standard operating procedures in the field of Customs & Foreign Trade CTC control, and the compliance requirements, thereby ensuring full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations;
• Provide interpretations and advice regarding CTC matters in accordance with the European customs laws and regulations, and provide up to date information regarding modifications of such regulations;
• Provide guidance in determining proper valuation, classification, country of origin, and import and expert compliance requirements for complex international transactions;
• Manage regular relationships and performance of the Customs broker(s) and other service providers; design processes and electronic connections with Customs partners.
• Provide advice and guidance to employees within the organization with regard to CFT compliance requirements associated with international transactions.
Essential Requirements:
• University (BSc) degree in pharmacy, chemistry, economics or other equivalent degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade function and leading a team.
• Professional qualification or exam for a freight forwarder.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; German nice to have.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Highly motivated, independent and self-initiative.

Vaše ključne odgovornosti:
• Zagotavlja skladnost vseh pravnih subjektov družbe Novartis z veljavno uvozno in izvozno zakonodajo v Sloveniji;
• Načrtuje in izvaja strukturo vodenja področja carinjenja in zunanje trgovine z jasnimi pristojnostmi in odgovornostmi, usklajenimi z vodjo ekipe;
• Ocenjuje in izvaja ustrezne politike in standarde carinjenja in zunanje trgovine, ki so oblikovane v skladu z globalnimi smernicami Sandoza in po potrebi s predpisi, specifičnimi za določeno državo;
• Upravlja enotne splošne postopke s področja nadzora carinjenja in zunanje trgovine in zadeve glede skladnosti ter na ta način zagotavlja popolno skladnost z zakonodajo in predpisi;
• Tolmači in svetuje o zadevah carinjenja in zunanje trgovine glede na evropsko zakonodajo in druge predpise o carinjenju ter zagotavlja najnovejše podatke o spremembah teh predpisov;
• Daje usmeritve pri določanju ustreznega vrednotenja, klasifikacije, določanja države izvora in zahteve glede skladnosti uvoza in izvoza za kompleksne mednarodne posle;
• Upravlja redne odnose s carinskimi posredniki in drugimi izvajalci storitev ter njihovo uspešnost; načrtuje procese in elektronske povezave s partnerji na področju carinjenja;
• Zaposlenim v organizaciji daje nasvete in usmeritve glede zahtev za skladnost carinjenja in zunanje trgovine v povezavi z mednarodnimi posli.
Vaš doprinos k delovnem mestu:
• Visokošolska stopnja izobrazbe farmacevtske, kemijske, ekonomske ali druge ustrezne smeri.
• Minimalno 5 let ustreznih delovnih izkušenj na področju oskrbovalne verige in vodenja ekipe.
• Obvezno opravljena poklicno kvalifikacijo ali izpit za špediterja.
• Aktivno znanje angleškega; zaželeno znanje nemškega jezika, vendar ni pogoj.
• Poznavanje orodja Microsoft Office.
• Visoka motiviranost za delo, samostojnost in samoinciativnost.
