As part of National Brain Awareness week, Novartis were pleased to sponsor the conference titled ‘Research and Healthcare Responses to the Challenge of Brain Conditions in Ireland’ in the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. The conference was organized by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland and the Irish Brain Council and featured sections on research and on healthcare.
Speakers included Professor David Henshall, Professor of Molecular Physiology and Neuroscience, RCPI, Professor Ian Robertson Co-Director at Global Brain Health Institute, TCD and Professor Cora O’Neill Deputy Head of the School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology UCC all of whom spoke in the Research Focus section of the meeting. In the Healthcare Focus section the speakers were Prof Timothy Lynch, Clinical Lead, National Neurology Clinical Programme and the Executive Director of the European Brain Council.
The meeting was very well attended and 29 posters were on display.
