Summary

Radio Ligand Therapy (RLT) plays an increasing role in the Novartis project pipeline. Understanding radiation induced degradation in development is a key asset for the characterization of our compounds.

Using state-of the art equipment and science paired with a highly dynamic, multicultural and committed team of scientists, you will contribute to our analytical and formulation development strategy for peptides.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Support the ARD team in understanding radiation induced degradation for the characterization of radioligand compounds in order to control our peptides in drug product used in Radio Ligand Therapy projects.
  • Implement screening tools to develop a non-radioactive stress test that induces the same degradation pattern as radiation from labelling with radioisotopes.
  • Contribute to develop a RLT toolbox based on stress conditions and high standard analytical tools, e.g. Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), able to support the analytical development for peptides and its radiolabeled compounds.
  • Design, plan, perform, interpret and report scientific experiments and ensure regular alignment within ARD as well as across functions.
  • Participate in scientific exchange groups within Novartis and present the work / research.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-Doc in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Experience in analytical methods, e.g. LC-MS, HPLC and assessment of new analytical techniques.
  • Good analytical and chemical knowledge of peptides is required. Knowledge on radiochemistry is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of relevant analytical software (e.g. chromatography software) is required.
  • Ready to work in international and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Fluency in English.
