Summary

The Statutory and Tax Manager plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing tax obligations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position involves overseeing tax calculations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.

About the Role

Key responsibilities:

Calculate current tax liabilities based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Align current and deferred tax figures to ensure accuracy. Determine tax base adjustments for IFRS financial statements. Handle additional tax-related tasks as needed.

Manage Transfer pricing documentation locally

Coordinate tax activities with regional tax center and with local tax and finance team members

Lead the year-end financial close process in accordance with legal requirements coordinating the audit process between country and above country organizations as well as any external parties

Compile precise financial statements for reporting purposes.

Translate IFRS figures into statutory accounting principles and perform needed statutory adjustments

Coordinate internal and external audits, including managing inventory counts. Implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance with tax and statutory regulations. Collaborate and align between relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance Oversee cost accounting processes to optimize financial performance.
 

Desirable requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, or finance.

Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting software.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.

Certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is advantageous.

• Professional level of English both written and spoken, Dutch or French is must
