Summary

Design, plan, perform, interpret, and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS), drug products (DP), processes and procedures within a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project Leader. Manage technical lab/plant activities. -Management TrackLead a team for the development of pharmaceutical/biological/cell-gene therapies working in a small manufacturing plant environment. Execute the functional strategy and drive operational excellence in line with TRD vision and strategy. Ensure full portfolio support in line with GDD, NTO and NIBR plans.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Plans, organizes, performs, and documents activities to support other line functions in AO groups.
  • Takes over responsibility for and utilizes tools/equipment or specialized facilities under moderate supervision.
  • Understands applied practices, concepts and processes in a relatively narrowly defined discipline, field, or functional area. Operates within established guidelines, solving limited non-routine problems.
  • Operates within clear well-defined procedures with some latitude for decision making on expected issues.
  • Works according to appropriate standards defined for quality, ethics, health, safety, environment, and information security.
  • Ensures compliance to DQP / GMP.
  • Writes protocols, reports or lab procedures based on templates under moderate supervision.
  • Contributes to development of new methods/procedures or optimizes existing methods/procedures.
  • Recognizes, communicates, and provides input to the solution of complex problems (e.g. deviations and unexpected results from experiments); addresses and solves problems within own area of responsibility.
  • Actively participates in knowledge exchange. Trains and coaches technicians, and employees under training/education.

Education (minimum/desirable):

Technician with analytical/ laboratory relevant experience or degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology etc.)

Languages: Intermediate knowledge of English

Experience/Professional requirement:

  • Adequate scientific or technical knowledge in a pharmaceutical area.
  • Good knowledge/skills of laboratory and/or technical tools.
  • Adequate knowledge of software and computer tools.
  • Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials, and equipment. 
  • Basic skills in scientific/technical areas of collaboration.
  • Basic presentation skills.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position, the minimum salary is €54735.38year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications, and individual competencies.
    We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
