Summary

Technician I, Instrumentation and Controls, performs routine calibration, maintenance and repairs on production and facilities instrumentation for our NC GTX Manufacturing facility. We are unable to offer relocation for this role so please ensure you are able to work from this location.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the following under supervision of the Instrumentation Manager or Senior Technician: Routine calibrations.
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs to instrument systems and components of laboratory equipment, production equipment, central utilities and building management systems.
  • Work on assignments that are routine in nature with supervision for more detailed tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Complete any required documentation in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of an Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics (2-year) curriculum at a technical school, Military PMEL training or 2 years of experience in GMP manufacturing process, instrumentation and control and/or analytical instrumentation or a closely related job.
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamental operating principles of industrial process instrumentation and systems.
  • Team player willing to learn from others.
  • Computer skills, particularly experience with MS Office suite applications and ability to learn control software BMRAM, SAP, Maximo and Pro-Cal software experience a plus or other CMMS.
  • Must be willing to work in clean room environments, follow standard operating procedures, safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $31.73-47.59 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
