About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyse promising investment opportunities via fund selection and complete the entire beginning-to-end due diligence processes (current focus on selection for hedge funds and emerging markets equities)
- Research and position new asset classes (e.g., private markets)
- Drive ongoing monitoring of existing fund investments and identify and mitigate emerging risks
- Lead operational duties and controls and liaise with back-office, legal, and external service providers
- Take ownership over-time of the Swiss Pension Fund’s ESG approach and strategy
- Contribute to total Treasury Investment Management portfolio in terms of overall portfolio construction, optimization, and risk/return decomposition analysis
What you'll bring to the role:
Essential Criteria:
- University or equivalent degree
- Solid experience in a portfolio management or asset allocation role
- Have a focus on manager selection and risk management in the alternative investments
- Quantitative experience in manager and portfolio analysis
- Fluent in English and working knowledge in German
Desirable criteria:
- Continuous education CFA or CAIA qualification
- Knowledge and selection of hedge funds
