Summary

The purpose of the role is to perform SAS Administrator duties for SAS instances used by the Advanced Quantitative Sciences (AQS) business domain and assist with SAS implementation in the SCAPE Statistical Compute Environment (SCE). This role will configure and optimize SAS Analytics Pro (APro) in the SCAPE SCE, ensuring that business requirements and outcomes are met. You will collaborate with other project team members to deliver the SCE solution on time and within budget.
• Sound knowledge and experience in working with statistical compute and data science platforms
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes and leveraging quantitative sciences and toolsets in regulatory and exploratory pathways
• Understanding of different data modalities (ex. Biomarkers, Omics, Imaging)
• Strong knowledge of Clinical data standards (CDISC – SDTM, ADAM, USDM)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of SAS in the SCAPE SCE, including administration in Development, QA, and Production instances of the SCE as the SCAPE project develops, validates, deploys, and operates the new AQS SCE.
  • Responsible for administration of SAS in a containerized / cloud environment, to ensure reliable operation of SAS on a day-to-day basis.
  • Take accountability for delivery of specific SAS components / use cases for the SCE
  • Document SAS settings and ensure peer review and sign off.
  • Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when administrating SAS implementations.
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures
    Coordinate with all other project workstreams on the SCAPE project to deliver a quality SCE on time and within budget
     

Essential Requirements
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience demonstrated.   
  • 7 years’ experience working in an IT environment with SAS admin experience quantitative science data platforms
  • Experience collaborating across geographical and organizational boundaries
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean/ 6 Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile methodology
  • Experience leading indirect reports in a matrix environment
    Advanced knowledge of Design Thinking and Agile methodology
    Demonstrated aptitude for learning
  • Leveraging digital technology and effective change management to deliver value.
    Track record delivering global solutions at scale, and interactions with senior management.
    Delivery of validated IT solutions and collaborating across boundaries.
  • Experience in IT Enterprise & Business Architecture, IT Systems Design, IT Systems Integration, User Experience Design, Design Thinking, Analyzing stakeholder requirements, and Knowledge of IT Applications & tools.
  • Experience with SAS products / SAS Studio in both cloud and native environments
  • Experience with SAS product administration, product upgrades, issue troubleshooting and resolution, and integration of other tools with SAS
  • Experience with SAS running in Domino is a plus
