About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead onsite Information Technology and Operational Technology activities for new manufacturing site construction and readiness.
- Manage automation control systems, equipment integration, Manufacturing Execution System, Environmental and Building Management Systems, security, serialization.
- Coordinate general contractors, global Novartis teams, and site leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
- Build and guide the site Information Technology and Operational Technology team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Drive the site digitalization and automation roadmap, aligned with global strategies and standardized solutions.
- Oversee budgets, project pipeline, and operational transitions for technology initiatives and services.
- Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and reliable, twenty‑four‑seven availability for critical site systems.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $119,700 and $222,300 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Automation or Information Technology within a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems and information technology infrastructure.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and project pipelines.
Desirable Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing Manufacturing Execution System, Environmental Monitoring System, Building Management System, and serialization.
