About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Participates in development and implementation of Novartis Romania Public Affairs and Access strategy under the coordination of Country VAPA Head
- Provide support to Country VAPA Head, as well as senior country leadership, in order to optimally build and handle Novartis’ external reputation to engage and lead in relevant policy discussions
- Contribute to the creation, revision and publishing of briefs, policy documents, advocacy toolkits, training materials, in full respect of compliance and legal SOPs and requirements
- Work with external partners such as think tanks, industry associations/groups and other third parties based on the mandate granted by the line manager
- Implements under Country VAPA Head supervision the Novartis Global Public Affairs strategy and ensure smooth information exchange with global public affairs functions, based on mandate given locally
- Keep updated the collaborator map, explore new collaborators and opps and engage with the stakeholders on relevant topics
- Coordinate advocacy events for relevant priority topics and crafting the environment for more effective access of the patients to the innovative medicines
- Participate in review and analyze legislative proposals that could impact the Company and provide information on key public policy issues to the LT and Country VAPA Head
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years in Public Affairs or Market Access role/ Public Health& Healthcare management related field
- Proven understanding of national health care, regulatory environment, of drug P&R and listing process
- Excellent understanding of the Romanian Healthcare system functioning and management
- Experience in working with policy-maker bodies (national and international)
- Positive relationships and strong Novartis reputation with key regulators, KOLs, industry associations and other relevant entities
- Optimized access through innovative advocacy solutions
- Updated and comprehensive collaborator engagement plan
- Relevant reflection of Novartis Global Public Affairs priorities into local Public Affairs Plan
