Summary

Location: East Hanover, NJ #LI-Hybrid About the Role: As part of the Integrated Marketing Organization, this role will drive the evolution of the Material Approval Process (MAP) through leading the MAP Governance strategy, operationalizing policy compliance remediation and risk management (Audit Readiness), own the strategic partnerships with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance functions to optimize process/policy/resource mix to drive business, and derive insights from operational data, testing hypothesis and evolving the strategy.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead MAP Governance – Ensure organizational alignment and awareness of progress/risks as we transform ways of working and improve operational efficiency. Run monthly and bi-weekly forums, consolidating inputs and insights to establish cohesive action plan, compelling to executive leadership
  • Team Leadership – Inspires, upskills, removes barriers, and drives accountability across team of functional experts specializing in Audit Readiness, Governance, Analytics & Insights
  • Integrate In-Market Monitoring Capability – Establish plan to ensure working practices established are being implemented as expected in market; Develop risk assessment and run state recommendations
  • Optimize Operational Insights & Reporting Capability – Open capacity for strategic SMEs through establishing templates, standards, and regular cadence of reporting; Train partners and team members to be self-sufficient; identify what is essential and develop plan, budget, run state resource model
  • Data Model Ownership - Owns the US MAP data model for analytics, content taxonomy, and user access management; Represents interests in taxonomy governance
  • Influence Leadership Priorities – Conforming to the MAP Governance Model, synthesize progress and risks to elevate to leadership at regular, pre-defined intervals; Escalate appropriately; Lead quarterly business review of metrics and performance.
  • Foster an Enterprise View – Simplify & scale in alignment with organizational objectives, attach meaning in decisions and day-to-day activities, lead with a customer-first mindset
  • Change Enablement - Derive qualitative and quantitative insights to trigger process, system, and skills optimization; Define problem statements, use cases and co-create solutions to increase automation and/or further reduce effort while actively mitigating risk
  • Drive Operational Efficiency– Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and/or lead projects/implement new capabilities, seizing opportunities to improve our competitive advantage

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 10% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international). Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Education: BA/BS degree; master’s or advanced certifications preferred

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech and/or similar regulated industry
  • People leadership experience in a large, networked organization
  • Product launch expertise
  • Working knowledge of FDA and Pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance guidelines on advertising and promotion
  • Data analytics and process improvement – Six Sigma, Agile, etc.
  • Deep understanding of the creative development process
  • Proficient in Qlik/Tableau/PowerBI, MS Office Suite and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Digital Marketing Technology applications, e.g. Drupal, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Veeva Vault, Aprimo, etc.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Functional experience in regulatory strategy, commercial operations, or digital marketing
  • Diverse background including consulting, creative agency, or transformation experience

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $174,400 and $261,600/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period.  Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
